Allison and Mona have had a long-lived passion for the art of photography for several decades. Both women picked up and peered through a lens at early ages and were forever changed in how they viewed the world. 

As students of both the classical and modern technical and artistic aspects of this art form, each of them owns and employs some unique and fascinating antique camera equipment. Several items of "Kit" often used by these two artists were passed down through their families and/or collected from sources around the globe over the years. 

In fact, several of these  "world-class lenses" from the days of celluloid film have been adapted for use on their modern cameras. Mated to the latest high end digital photographic equipment, this offering presents clients with a personal and one of a kind, high end photographic perspective and composition rarely endeavored by today's modern "point and click" photographers; auto point and click are offerings seen too often and in such abundance these days in our opinion.

 Yes, modern lenses and equipment are used at F&S Photography in most day to day photo-shoots and sporting events, and are simply unrivaled in sharpness and texture for sporting and dance events. However, the option to bring classic “looks” by using some of the greatest lens glass-makers of all time, to otherwise and often impersonal snapshots is an option offered that many clients love. Of course this is technical and tedious and certainly a lot more work for the artist to capture her “perfect” moment… but the resulting product is often unmatched. 

The subjects and mediums that Mona and Allison routinely photograph have been inspired by their love of dance and sports and have extensive experience in capturing moments on both film and through digital photography.  

Beyond their artistic gifts of capturing human movement, they each have an unquenchable passion for capturing and indelibly preserving the scenery of this amazing world that God has both created and inspired. From the historical artistry of the architecture of their home city, to the back woods and Bayous this part of America clearly boasts, they try to capture and share as many images as they can.
